Hi I’m Areej

WHERE I'M FROM
I was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and raised in Toronto, Canada. Blending Pakistani and Indian roots, I'm the epitome of a first-gen, third-culture kid. Growing up, I was artsy with a penchant for numbers.

WHAT I USED TO DO
I got a business degree and worked in a couple of startups that fizzled out. I took a detour into fashion and PR where I learned a lot about myself but I was yearning for meaningful work. It wasn't until I co-founded a tech startup that I discovered the design world, it blended business strategy, physcology and data in a way that finally clicked. I enrolled in a UX and UI bootcamp and never looked back. 
 

WHERE I'M AT

Grounded in New York City, I split my time between design projects, the gym, wandering art galleries and going on adventures.
